"Sir, we're coming up on the Kingston's last known coordinates."
Coop looked up from his report "Drop to impulse. Alert all Department heads and bring us to Yellow Alert." He sent a message to Lauren to implement her plan and sat back as the yellow lights began to flash. He looked out at the space in front of him and wondered what would possess a Starship Captain to commit such an act. "Keep our weapons on standby and signal down to the fighter bay. I want a CAP ready to fly but not launched yet." He wasn't going to make that mistake again...
"Sir did I hear you correctly that we are not powering weapons?" came the question from the tactical station.
Coop looked back, "We are here to exhaust all diplomatic solutions first. Command wants the Kingston and her crew intact."
"Aye sir. Weapons on standby and a CAP in the tubes."
"Good. Mr Knight begin a search pattern. I want the Quigon's debris field in the dead center. Let's cover the sector and see what we can find."
Damian input the orders, "You got it boss. I'll fly casually so that we don't look like we're in too much of a hurry to find the Kingston."
"Half Impulse please. I'm hoping she finds us first Damian...I wouldn't be surprised if they watched us enter the area."
"New tactic, Cap? We didn't try this against the Devonshire..."
Coop got up and walked over to the Helm station. "No last time we rushed in and tried to take on a Sovereign-X and almost got beat. Let's let the Kingston come to us...see if we can't end this without a shot fired. I'm also trying to give people time to come up with a unified strategy that will yield the desired result."
"Lets hope we don't have to wait long, Sir..."
"Somehow...I don't think we will...Til then patience is our watchword."
