Captain's third new yeoman within the past month and so far he was the
longest lasting one.

"Ugh....we need to make an appointment to get that annoying stutter
fixed." Ricky said walking past him and taking the PaDDs that he was
holding. "I'll save you the time and my time by just quickly skimming
these. Is there a reason why I was not told about yet another round of
ships being decommissioned and sent to the mothball fleet?"

"I...I..." Roger tried to begin.

"Dman't son how the hell did you make it through the academy." Ricky
said shaking his head he had too much on his plate to deal with this
stumbling fool, "you know what save your breath and just go to your
quarters you'll have re-assignment by tomorrow morning." And with that
he left the young speechless in the middle of the docking ring.

Ricky noticed a very attractive young lady waiting in the lobby, "and
you're?" He asked walking in and looking around wondering where the
administrative staff was that kept this place running while he was
gone and even while he was here.

"Ensign Carla Paolini I'm gonna be your new yeoman seeing how you just
fired your old one publicly. Interesting move." She said giving him a
smirk and than taking a very casual sitting position on of the chairs
and looking at Ricky. "Oh.....did I forget to mention I've worked for
some of the more higher brass who're much worse than you could ever
imagine when it comes to getting things done and done right days prior
to when they ask it."

Ricky was speechless that my the mannerisms of this women or even her
attitude and lack of respect. But more of a, "finally someone I can
work with" type of feeling. "Well I'm glad that the upper brass still
knows how to train people. So do you have experience in the field of
engineering?"

"I don't but I'm a quick learner and jack of all trades so to speak."
Carla said standing up again and taking the PaDDs from underneath his
arms, "why don't you settle into your office and take care of some of
the things that require your attention right away and I'll go through
these marking the most important things." Again Ricky was speechless
and more or less did exactly what the Ensign suggested to him to do.

"Alright so for the ships that are being decommissioned 2 or 5 are
Nova class ships science/surveyor variants so science and intelligence
is still downloading the core. The other 3 are frigates and the hold
up with them is the weapon systems." Carla said handing them a PaDD.

"What is the hold up with the weapons systems?" Ricky asked looking up at her.

"They're not sure what to do with them none of the ships in the fleet
needs them and we don't have the room to store them all here." Carla
said.

"Alright send them a memo that we'll store what we can here and than
put the rest in a worker bee that'll be docked to the station." Ricky
said, "also I need you to list these into most important to least and
than easiest to hardest. It's all the operations that need to be done
in the DMZ this needs to be done in 48 hrs Major T'Kange well be
arriving into the DMZ in 72 hrs and he needs this done."

"Of course sir." Carla said taking the PaDD and leaving the Captain to
deal with the decommissioning of the ships.
