[Begin Log]
Finally at last all the structural construction was done now it was getting
the computer cores, EPS and ODN networks and relays in along with everything
else. Ricky glad though seeing as the General requested a update on the
progress of the construction several days ago and Ricky was pushing it back
and back. "Alright get the General on the horn." He said rubbing his face he
was exhausted and was looking forward to head back to SB 514 for a little
bit RnR and than back to work.
Sharpe was using an office provided to him on Starbase Zetari. He hadn't
left yet, but was planning on heading back to SB 514 to pick up the pieces
left behind by the Cortez. He was getting seriously cheesed off with the
paperwork, but with Admiral Zina still in sickbay, he'd taken the mantel of
the workload. His staff had done its best to screen most of it, but there
were still many that required his personal attention.
"General, I have Captain Alessandro on the comm. For you." His secretary,
petty officer Coats told him.
"Patch him through." Sharpe said, watching the console on his desk change to
show the Federation crest, which changed quickly to the face of Ricky
Alessandro. "Captain, good to see a friendly face." He said.
"Well it's just good to see a face. I've been staring at freaking blue
prints for the past several weeks." Ricky said before realizing who he was
talking to. "Pardon my language sir. But we're onto phase two finally the
computer cores should be online by tomorrow and furnishings and all of that
will be done by the end of the week."
"You've made remarkable progress, Captain." Sharpe said. "Don't worry about
the language, I'm a JarHead, remember? If you're not swearing and cussing,
the Sergeant backhands you."
Ricky just grinned at that. "Oh I've also sent in a request for a special
accommodation for the 92nd unit they were a huge part of getting this done
so quickly."
"I'm sure its in here somewhere." Sharpe smirked, gesturing to his desk.
"I'll also be making a notation in your file regarding your outstanding
conduct during this operation."
"Thank you sir. Also one of my officers has been working on a new auto-mated
OSAT and I was wondering if we could test them around Carrie Eight and the
system?" Ricky asked.
"If you feel that the system would benefit the marines there, by all means."
Sharpe said. "But I want you to keep a close eye on it. Last thing I want is
for people to become dependant or complacent on a new system that might well
let them down where the metal meets the meat."
"Of course sir." Ricky said, "the officer is gonna be thrilled to hear this
answer." He added, "I'll be sticking around until I know the computer cores
are working and everything electronic is up and running and than I'll be
heading back to 514 to get caught up everything else that's been going on."
"Alright, keep me updated on its progress." Sharpe said. "I'm assigning
Brigadier General Lancer as sector commander, and he'll be arriving in a
week or so. I'll let you do hand over."
"Copy that." Ricky said glad to be done with assignment it was a
challenge and he enjoyed them but his was huge and especially with the
time constraint but he and his team along with 92nd MACO unit did it.
And with that Ricky closed the link and headed back out to see what
else had been finished.
