A Mission Post by Commander Lauren t'Elenhh & Captain Cooper Williams & Lieutenant Chloe Ebonheart
Mission: Lost Souls
Location: Bridge
Timeline:

[Begin Log]

Lauren was on the bridge at the primary science station knowing that tactical was in-charge of the search patterns and scans but that didn't mean she couldn't look them over when they came in. "Interesting.........Lt Ebonheart can you run another scan on sector 2A-5?" Lauren asked.

Chloe was standing at the tactical station, Kyle Green was in charge of Security in her stead so she wasn't worried about being on the bridge though sometimes she wished there were two of her if not more to help her do everything she had to do, but she wouldn't have changed the path she was on for anything. "Scanning Sector 2A-5 again." Chloe said softly as she started the scan...

"Hmmm...........there's some bizarre particles that shouldn't be there." Lauren said looking again and trying to figure out what they were. "Sir it looks like.......like a warp signature but one I've never seen."

Coop looked over at Lauren, "Care to elaborate, Commander?"

"It's definitely a StarFleet warp signature but there's something else and I can't find any reference to it in the database." Lauren said turning to look at the Captain. "It's almost like they're mixing technology."

Coop walked over to the science station, "Is it the Kingston's signature?"

"Parts of it yes. But there is also traces of the Quigon's being here. And the other parts again could be a mix on the Kingston but it could another ship as well which raises the possibility that the Kingston's did not commit this crime."

"All the more reason to find the Kingston. As far as the Quigon's signature, is it possible when the core detonated it left a sensor echo?"

"No sir it's definitely a different signature." Lauren said looking at him and than over to tactical. "And according to the readings from the debris all weapons fire was StarFleet weaponry."

"Then we have to believe the reports were correct. The Quigon was no match for the Kingston...and fell by her weaponry. I don't like that thought by any stretch, there's too much gray area for me to feel anything about this...how long will it take you to analyze those unknown particles?" Coop didn't like what he was feeling in his gut.

"With the help from tactical a couple of hours." Lauren said making a conservative guess knowing that it'll probably be longer. "It all depends on if we can match it to anything in our data base if not...........I'm not sure if we'll be able to figure out what it is."

Coop nodded "Grab Chloe and work on finding out what this is...and grab Ensign Molroth as well. He might be able to help from an engineering standpoint. Consider this a priority. Mark that sector and we will come back to it. I don't want to go near that til we know exactly what we are dealing with."

"Yes sir." Lauren said standing up as she transferred all the data to the consoles in TIC where they would be able to work better.
