A Mission Post by Lieutenant General Richard Sharpe
Mission: Fallen Angel
Location:
Timeline:

OOC: This log clears the AT out of the hot zone and gets Capt. Denterius ready for beam up. This log also acknowledges that Towers is an annoying berk, and handles that too.

Phaser fire was intense, as the MACO's moved under a base of fire towards the next intersection. They were fighting for territory they'd already taken, as they'd come this way from the breach. This had been anticipated, as once the enemy had seen where the MACO platoon was, they'd surge forces there to confront them.

They'd taken a couple of casualties, and so far only one fatality. The MACO's however, were seeing red.

They'd fought their way towards the hostages, to find that the Jem`Hadar had wired the room they were being held with explosives, and as soon as the guards on the room spotted the would-be rescue party, they'd blown the hostages into red paste. MACO's, Starfleet personnel, innocent men women and children - all killed.

Sharpe stood just off from the main fighting, his modified Colt .45 in his hand, firing at Jem`Hadar soldiers as they advanced towards them, firing wildly. Given his experience with the Jem`Hadar, Sharpe was actually suprised at the untamed violence of the soldiers fighting. There didn't appear to be any co-ordination or strategy behind their fighting, just pure aggression.

"Sir, we need to get back to the Away Team. There's no way they can hold out if this lot lay in thick." Sgt Maxwell said.

Richard nodded. "Take Baker Squad and loop back around to the AT, get them mobile."

"Yes sir, should we pop the blue smoke?"

The blue smoke was an indicator to the exterior forces that the assault team was in real trouble, and gave carte` blanche for them to get their asses into them for a major exfiltration. Richard thought very hard about this, and decided to give the affirmative, as if Kassi didn't get out of here in the next ten minutes, there would be problems.

One of the MACO's threw a smoke canister out of a hole in the wall, and blue smoke poured out thickly.

This in turn caused the 414th Armored Company to let rip into the side of the building and crash their tanks through the wall and force a new breach close to where the blue smoke was coming through.

Richard grabbed a radio from his comms man. "Sabre Six Actual to Away Team, we're getting you out of here." He then switched frequencies, "Sabre Six Actual to Knight Four, medivac for two critical to RV point."

Three humvee's arrived at an area close to the AT's position and raced inside to remove the away team to drive them clear of the combat zone to a beam-out point just outside of the base.

"Knight Four to Sabre Six, Away Team secured and preparing for extraction. Falcon Six is refusing transport and is insisting on remaining on site." Came the response through the radio.

Typical Towers. Sharpe throught to himself. "This is Sabre Six Actual, get Falcon Six out of the CZ, knock him out and tie him to a stretcher if you have to."

"Roger that Sabre Six, Knight Four out."

With Captain Denterius on her way out of the combat zone and the away team clear, all that remained was for the 92nd ACR to clear out the Jem`Hadar and retake the base, a task made much easier without innocents to worry about.

"Sabre Six Actual to all callsigns, Operation Liberty complete, begin Operation Clean Sweep."
