"Where the hell is Sion?" Ricky asked as he strolled through the
mobile command control vehicle not angry but annoyed at the lack of
information coming his way. "No before we move into a new area we need
to scan and make sure there's no UXB's waiting for us." Ricky said to
one of his terraformer specialists.
"I'm right here Captain." the Senior Chief said with a heavy Russian
accent. "The UXB's scans are taking longer than we were expecting.
Along with figuring out how much damage the bombardment has caused to
the ground." Sion said shaking his head, "this is the messiest
re-build I've ever been apart of."
Ricky nodded looking at one of the screens that Sion was looking at,
"how much damage are we talking about?" Ricky asked looking back at
his highest ranking NCO on staff.
"Most likely we'll need to bring in a full terraforming team to
reverse the damage. Where the main command tower used to stand and
also where the hostages were being held." Sion said, "which means we
need to double the amount of time this re-build is gonna take we've
still got the extra buildings we need to add."
Ricky nodded, "see what you can do and I'll work on trying to get a
team out here but if I remember correctly there hasn't been a team
from terraform command out here since what 5 years ago." Ricky said
shaking his head he was hoping for something easy but this was
defiantly not gonna be that.
"Could we just send scans to the terraforming command and see what
they say? I mean if they say we need to do some work have them tell us
what and than we can see if we can do it." Sion said looking at Ricky
knowing that was better than hoping for a group of them to come out
here.
Ricky nodded, "I mean from these scans it looks like we just need to
stabilize everything that the command center was sitting on. I'm just
don't know what we need to use to do that." Wishing that he had taken
more courses in terraforming but with what he wanted to do which was
mainly ship, station and drydock work it didn't make a lot of sense to
do that.
"Alright we need to finish one more set of scans and than we'll send
these over to Terraform Command. We're also working figuring out the
boundaries that the Federation has and what's considered Carrie Eight
government land." Sion said, "once that's done we'll be able start
work on the additional buildings to house a larger MACO unit."
"Excellent keep me apprised on everything." Ricky said signing off on
the steps he headed out of the building leaving Sion to finish up the
scans.
