Hi Dan,

I was playing with the files you posted in
pkg-dgates-branch/Trials_Profiling/

In TreEvoExample.R, you've tried removing multicore=T, right? I
couldn't get it to run with that, but I don't have a problem without
it. Multithreading doesn't necessarily speed everything up, and with 10
cores specified it could easily slow things down due to the overhead of
forking lots of threads. At least that would be the case in C.

Hi Derrick,

I've tried that earlier and it still hung up. Yesterday I tried again with turning both multicore=F and stoprule=F and it made it further than I've ever seen it get before but unfortunately it still didn't run to completion before it got stuck
