Lionel Messi could not be signed to a new deal because of spiralling costs at the Catalan club and, with no signs of improvement, Barca risked not being able to register new signings Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Aguero.
The agreements with Busquets and Alba mean cash-strapped Barca can now register Aguero, who is expected to be out injured until the middle of October, while avoiding complications with financial fair play regulations.
While flicking through channels yesterday I came across Bein on channel 525 allegedly showing 6 Nations live.I couldn't view it though, as I got the nag screen. It isn't part of my sports package nor can I find it anywhere on the Austar or Fox website.
Yes. Setanta was another sports channel that piggybacked off the Foxtel system. In order to view Setanta, you needed to subscribe directly with them, give them your Foxtel smart card number and then you would be able to view it on your Foxtel box. Setanta shut down and was replaced with beIN sports. As with Setanta, in order to received beIN Sports you need to register directly with them.
beIN has their own Android and iOS app called "SportsConnect". You can watch a live stream of the channel and there is also a catch-up facility available. Sometimes they also have a choice of matches to watch live . eg. Saturday nights when they broadcasts the Bundesliga, Sunday nights when they broadcast the Serie A as well as UEFA Champions League matches.
With the Italy V Belgium game today, there was only slight jumps / delays through out the game, but the last 10 mins (around 6:50am) there was heaps. Is this due to more people waking up and watching the service?
Is it possible to set Bien sports Android ap to work through Kodi?
I assume it comes with an epg, so would it be possible to record the stream through a Kodi PVR /IPTV ad on?
I suppose I could try it with foxtel go, which I have at the moment on a free 3 month telstra deal.
I don't think it comes with an epg, though.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a subscription video service with its own dedicated, high quality, high availability hardware and data transmission so we didn't have to mess around with online unicast streaming and poorly made apps.
Bein sports connect is suppose to be available to Foxtel customers soon ( what ever that means ).
Hopefully I will be able to check it out before my 3 months free deal runs out. Will be getting rid of Foxtel, so this might be a good alternative.
From I can tell with BeIN Sports launching in New Zealand BeIN Sports 2 will now be a joint feed meaning BeIN Sports 2 will not be allowed to show MLS, Serie A, Bundesliga and Brazilian league. Also some other programs like BeIN Sports News and the Keys and Gray show will also move to BeIN Sports 2. I don't know if this is a permanent thing
Sports News is currently not being shown due to Olympic footage. BeIN Sports 1 will still show replays of the programs being shifted but will be live on BeIN Sports 2. To get BeIN Sports programming for Sports 2 and 3 your best to use the tv guide on Foxtel website
Foxtel Go only shows the 3 Foxtel channels and not extra live content like when they have 8 Champions League games with the same kickoff time. I have worked through their listing for this weekend for Ligue 1, Serie A and La Liga and they have handled those rights rather well but add in Bundesliga which starts next week and then add in some rugby, tennis or what ever else they have the rights too and you will find out Connect is needed.
Serie A only 4 games shown live on tv but this is mainly due to the Serie A draw with 7 games being played at 4:45am Monday morning. BeIN Sports Connect is showing Palerm v Sassuolo exclusively live unsure why they can not stream more of the 4:45 Monday games. However All games will be shown on the tv channels throughout the day on the Monday.
Unfortunately, we do not have any update yet when Foxtel sports pack users will have access to beIN SPORTS CONNECT as part of their package. However, what I can confirm is that this will be available at a future date.
Right now as it stands, connect isn't worth it if you got a foxtel IQ as they only show the main 3 channels now which you can watch on Foxtel Go and Foxtel Play. No extra streams of matches. This again will be returning "soon" after they said extra streams will be returning in the coming weeks but its been many months yet again lol
No one enlightened on the issue? I use to pay for bein sports before it became 'free' on foxtel. Initially i was stoked to get 3hd channels on foxtel but now becoming dissappointed as I feel taking away the sports connect option of just picking whatever live games are on through the computer/app is leaving me with less live sport options.
People have been waiting for over a year to be able to login to the bein sports connect app via our Foxtel credentials. As for more matches coming I wouldn't hold your breath. They don't seem to care anymore
It's not really more matches though, just going back to actually being able to watch all the games they used to do and already have the rights for...the Bein Sports overseas subscriptions could be an option i guess, if they work here.
Were you subbed through Foxtel. I was subbed via Sports connect, so my Foxtel password (nor my parents for that matter) do nothing, despite both being Foxtel Sports pack subscribers (platinum in my parents case)
Yes subscribed through foxtel. From memory I stayed logged in to the app on my phone long after it should have ended, i had already received the refund for the years subscription. Then i just logged in with foxtel credentials and all was good
Latest update of the bein connect app looks very good.
Has login for foxtel customers, catch up and live streaming of non tv games. See how it fares in a couple of weeks when the leagues are up and running with the inevitable clashes.
Had a quick look and so far it's still just the 3 live channels and a few replays from the past few days, with a 7 day time limit. Will be interesting to see how they go with other leagues when everything starts up again, making more games available than what they broadcast, like they used to in the good Ol' days.
They've fixed the gimped airplay to ATV4 so it plays full screen again. Also, despite saying residential Foxtel customer, it includes Foxtel Now. I do have the option now of cutting Foxtel Now after AFL season, as this will play on my parents Foxtel account too, with HD airplay

Ive watched the odd Copa Del Rey game on bet365 over the years. Just open an account and put a tenner in it and you get loads of different live sports. Average streaming quality but it works okay on my smart tv. Loads of niche football and really good for snooker.
Whats the quality like on chromecast? Is it the same quality as foxtel now. I installed the android app on my fire tv, but the video was stuttering, so I am considering buying a chromecast for this and optus Sport
For the luv of all things holy, I cannot get logged in to the Android app. As soon as I click the Foxtel login box even before it asks for any details, I just get a spinning circle forever. Tried on both my home internet, and via Telstra mobile hotspot. Same.
Is there some magic trick to logging into the app?
I meant all on the one computer. Open three tabs and play a different game on each. Then seperate the three tabs as browsers and minimise so 3 are on the screen at the same time. You used to be able to do this...
The on demand works so much better than the linear channels on Fox. Can just about guarantee the game will be there when you get up in the morning. I mean you can record the matches via your set top box but there is of course added costs to get the sports package in the first place.
I only have Foxtel Now, but once Footy is over I might unsub for a bit and save $50 a month for a bit. I can then use my parents login. I can use one of their Go slots to catch the snippets I need on LFCtv or the odd show here or there on the iPad Pro...
Air played a bit of the Bayern match last night from my phone before the midnight epl matches kicked off. Works so well and the picture quality was pretty good. Very impressed with the current set up.
Has anyone with telstra foxtel got access to connect yet? My app just says to check login details but they are definitely correct. Both telstra and foxtel support don't even know what bein sports is...
Great news however judging by comments on Facebook such as 'there needs to be more than three channels to fit it all in' its very obvious viewers are oblivious they get access to the bein connect platform or that it even exists. With tomorrows championship match on the xtra feed I'm expecting people to be outraged thinking the game is on the TV channels.
If and when they launch channels 2 and 3 on Fetch I'll most likely cut Sport from my Foxtel Now during the AFL off season, as it's pretty much only Champions League and a little bit of Bundesliga/El Classico I'm interested in
They keep making these promises but never deliver.
A couple of months I asked also about new channels especially more sports,. The standard response was "we'll have some exciting news to share soon. So watch this space" or no agreements have been reached yet"
I get the log out error on my apple tv, phone and pc. So annoying. IT admin, the bein sports stream on Fubo is still much better than the Australian Bein Sports on the apple tv(which is still.good quality, but is not the same picture quality as the 1080p stream on fubo). Yet to try the new update.
I've been getting logged out also , it is annoying especially when you have to log out of the iOS iPhone / iPad app and back in to log into the Apple TV App. It's a great app but this is becoming tiring.
