Hi !
I'm new in the group and absolutly not a programmer (even a beginner one) but I use Treesheets a lot to organising my stories, I totally love it, so useful to organising my thoughts, plots, timelines, characters' relationships, etc.

So, first of all, thank you for this so useful and easy-to-use program!

If it's ok for you and the community, I have just a request, cause it'll be so useful for me :

Is it possible to have more colors ?

It may be nothing for you, but for me it's so much :p
I use it to spot events on my timelines/calendars and each storyline has one and big events touching all the storylines have an other one, so it's really, really useful for me. When all is semi-fold to see the entier calendar, I can easily see my course of events and spot the most important ones.
I use some of those in the program but a lot are too flashy for me and the color chart is to short for me to sort all my thoughts, events, etc. :/

I hope thoses sort of propositions are ok and this one is not too much work :/

Here are the current colors:

Notice how there's a pattern: its red / green / blue, then the 3 colors in between those, and at various intensity levels.
That has so far been useful to assign things different "levels".

So feel free to suggest additions, or a replacement list. Like I said, would be good if there was some structure to it, though.

There's currently 41 colors.
This has 42 so could be a more varied replacement, but doesn't have any ranges: https://lospec.com/palette-list/lospec500
This seems a nice 64 one, but I'd need to find out of to make the drop down 2D: https://lospec.com/palette-list/resurrect-64

@wouter
The 64 one is pretty good :)

This one can do the job too:  https://lospec.com/palette-list/atari-8-bit-family-gtia
Just not the entier pallete, because it's too many shades-lines, but just the essentiel ones, like you did.
Maybe like the file (112 colors, yes, but i can write it all if it helps) :)

@alberto
What do you mean "reinventing the wheel"?
You mean about the colors or the 2D shape for the pallete?

Hi, I mean... if a company has invested a lot of resources doing the job of finding a good pallete, why not just use it as a source of inspiration? You may not be fan of commercial products but I rarely miss anything when using ms office's colors and I enjoy the way they are organized as well. Just my point :D

Hi people,

First of all -- thank you Wouter for such a wonderful tool!

As a plain user I agree it would be very useful having a richer palette. Maybe something editable like the "Pick Document Background" option?  I often use presentations in an academic context and TreeSheets have interesting features for showing facts and ideas in a neat way. Just a comment for a wishlist.

Regards
