Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you guys know that we officially started selling tickets to the 2013 Greeley Oktobrewfest VIP Beer Tasting.  It's going to be even bigger and better than last year, and there are only 50 tickets available.  Wanted to give you guys the heads up in case you can make it.

If you're coming to Oktoberfest anyway, it's a pretty great deal.  $30 includes samples of the 10-12 reserve beers, 2 beer tokens for 16 oz. beers from the General Area, food samples (probably provided by Stuft), cheese samples from MouCo, and a chance to hang out with some brewers and other homebrewers/beer nerds.  I know it's not cheap, but it will definitely be worth it.

Even if you can't make it for the VIP Tasting, the festival itself is going to be a blast.  We've got 18 different beers from 7 different local CO breweries, including Crabtree and Wiley Roots.  It would be fun to schedule a meet-up with both homebrew clubs sometime on Saturday.

Here's the article Dave Butler ran for us:

And here's the link to buy tickets online:

You can also buy tickets directly from me or the DDA office and save about $2.50 in fees.

Hope to see everyone there in less than a month!

Just wanted to let everyone about a few updates to the VIP Tasting for Oktobrewfest.

First of all, we have finalized a deal with Stuft to provide sliders for all VIP attendees.  Stuft, which has restaurants in Windsor and Fort Collins, will be opening a 3rd restaurant in downtown Greeley in the Armadillo building.  If you haven't been, their burgers are amazing and we are really excited that they will be providing food for the VIP Tasting.

I also wanted to give you guys a list of a few of the beers we have already confirmed for the VIP Tasting:
  • AC Golden IPL
  • Black Bottle Bugger Off (Imperial English IPA)
  • Black Bottle Barrel Aged Saison
  • Crabtree Berliner Weisse
  • Crabtree Cezanne Saison
  • Grimm Brothers Dragon Slayer (Rauchbier)
  • Odell Wellspring (Saison)
  • Oskar Blues Ten Fidy
We are still finalizing additional beers from Grimm, Odell, Oskar Blues, and Wiley Roots so I'll pass those along as I receive them.

Tickets are selling quick, so if you're interested in attending, you should buy them soon.  You can buy them online here https://greeleyoktobrewfest.eventbrite.com/ or you can buy them with cash or check at the Greeley DDA office or from me.  We'll discuss a meet-up with both the clubs at the General Area sometime closer to the event.

Cheers,
Neil
