Hey Everyone,

I wanted to let you know about the upcoming Craft Beer Club at Patrick's on Monday, December 16 at 7:00 pm.  We have created this club to appeal to both homebrewers and craft beer enthusiasts alike.  So while we plan to have an educational component to each meeting, it will be focused more on enjoying beer (styles, pairings, etc.) than brewing beer.

This month Kyle Carbaugh from Wiley Roots here in Greeley will be our guest speaker.  We will be taking a closer look at the various Strong Ale styles that are appropriately popular this time of year.  Specifically, these are the styles and samples we will be evaluating:
  • Old Ale (BJCP Category 19A): Wiley Roots GRIFF & Great Divide Hibernation
  • English Barleywine (BJCP Category 19B): Flying Dog Horn Dog
  • Strong Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy (BJCP Category 9E,): Wiley Roots William
We will be offering a flight of all 4 beers for just $3, plus we'll have some free MouCo cheese samples to pair with.  Should be a fun way to get some other people involved in the craft beer culture here in Greeley, whether they are active homebrewers or not.

Also, Patrick's is hosting a Great Divide Yeti sighting next Friday, December 20 at 7 pm with 6 different Yeti varieties on tap.

Cheers,
Neil
