Hi all! This is just a reminder of tomorrow night's freeeeeeee
crochet workshop. Hope you can join us!

Crochet Leaf Workshop
Learn the Basics of Crochet and create crocheted leaves for the
interactive crochet and knit sculpture, A Tree Undone (more info on
the project at www.pokiedot.com)

Wednesday, June 27th, 7:00pm-9:00pm
Bay Area Video Coalition
2727 Mariposa St, Second Floor
San Francisco, Ca 94110

Located on the corner of Bryant and Mariposa, in the same building as
Starbucks. You'll need to dial the front desk from the front door,
and they'll let you in. Buzz #201 at the door (it also says this on the
keypad). Walk up to the second floor.

You may be asking yourself, 'Video Coalition?!?! What on earth does
CROCHET have anything to do with VIDEO?!?!' Well! Not only does Bavc
have a nice meeting room for us to meet in, but Bavc is also providing
a video camera and projection screen, so we can have a live video feed
of my hands as I explain how to crochet. Usually when I teach crochet
I end up stooping over your shoulders, getting my hands all tangled up
with yours, worrying about the garlic and onion curry I had for dinner
and only being able to teach one person at a time. Now you'll all be
able to see, and we'll do each step together!

Yarn to be used in leaf creation will be provided. Bring your own
yarn if you'll be working on your own projects. Extra hooks will be
available for the instruction portion of the workshop, but there may
not be enough for everyone, so it's best to bring your own H, I, or J
sized hooks.

Hope to see you there!

Hi Josie!  Thank you for creating such an inspiring community project for the playa!  I am unable to attend tomorrow night, will your video be available via utube or podcast?  I have not crochet anything since I was a young girl, and my grandmother  who passed away last summer  was the one to teach me, your project brought back found memories for me!  Best wishes Alison
