Hi all!  Welcome to the Tree Undone's little email list!  First off, I want to say thank you for your interest and support in this project.

And now, onward, to a couple of announcements:

1.  I've received so many emails from many of you, sharing your leaf-making progress.  It's always so exciting for me to hear that people really are working on these!  It's awesome.  I will be obtaining the tree very soon, and will begin attaching leaves over the next few months.  So, if you have some leaves for me, do send them along soon.  I know Burning Man seems soooo far away, but this is a very labor intensive project and I will be solidly busy constructing it until we leave for the playa.

No need for fancy packaging, just pop them in a big envelope and send them to:

2. I've just confirmed my first Leaf-Making Crochet Workshop.  Here are the deets!

Crochet Leaf Workshop
Learn the Basics of Crochet and create crocheted leaves for the interactive crochet and knit sculpture, A Tree Undone

Friday, May 11th, 7:00pm-9:00pm

1223 Park Street

Alameda, CA 94501
www.juliestea.com

Julie's tea is such a great spot; great atmosphere, quality teas and coffees, delicious snacks and avid supporters of local artists and crafters.  Hosting this workshop at Julie's is like coming home!

See map for directions to Julie's

Yarn to be used in leaf creation will be provided.  Bring your own yarn if you'll be working on your own projects.  Extra hooks will be available for the instruction portion of the workshop, but there may not be enough for everyone, so it's best to bring your own H, I, or J sized hooks.

Feel free to forward the workshop details around!

That's it for now, talk so you all soon, and keep making leaves!  They are looking GOOD, y'all!

Hugs,
Josie
