So, deadrising is being released for pc. For me, I really enjoyed the "barricading" that was doable in dead rising 1. I know it wasn't an intentional part of the game, but being able to pile up benches and such in door ways and building a "base" was the best part of dead rising 1. Unfortunately to some change in the item dropping mechanic, this was removed in deadrising 2/3 and honestly kind of killed those games for me.
The setting stems around the misconduct and subterfuge of the American government; whose primary stance in game portrays them as the main antagonist of the series. Given the extents they go to bury their involvement with the creation of the zombies. Phenotrans, a multimillion-dollar pharmaceutical company which creates and distributes Zombrex, a medicine that can, if taken daily, prevent an infected person from turning into a zombie, acts and serves as a secondary antagonist in story. There are also organizations like C.U.R.E. (Citizens for Undead Rights and Equality) which fights for the civil liberties of the zombies and the ZDC (Zombie Defense and Control) representing an anti-zombie police force to act on outbreak prevention.
All games feature multiple endings, completing all the missions in the main story is the only way to get the true ending. Since the second game, all games except for Dead Rising 4 feature two player co-op online multiplayer in the story mode, with the fourth main game only including a competitive multiplayer mode.
The second game in the Dead Rising series. Set in the fictional casino town of Fortune City, Nevada, five years after the events of Dead Rising, the game follows former motocross champion Chuck Greene trying to clear his name after being framed for starting the outbreak in Fortune City, while simultaneously trying to keep his daughter alive with a drug called Zombrex that prevents an infected individual from turning into a zombie. The "72-hour" system returns. The major gameplay improvement over its predecessor is the Combo Weapons system, allowing Chuck to combine certain items by using crafting tables. In addition survivors AI was also improved. The Main story can be played in 2 player online co-op, with the second player controlling a second Chuck. Players can earn money by playing the online multiplayer mode "Terror is Reality".
The fourth game in the Dead Rising series. Set one year after Dead Rising 3, the game features an older Frank West, returning to Willamette, Colorado during the Christmas season,[36] where the newly constructed "Willamette Memorial Megaplex" has fallen under another zombie outbreak. "Combo Weapons" and "Combo Vehicles" return, and camera mechanics from "Dead Rising 2: Off the Record" also return improved. The game introduces an exo-suit. Unlike previous games, the 72-hour timer system has been dropped, to encourage exploration. The main story does not support online cooperative multiplayer, making it a single player experience like in the original game. To address player complaints of the game being too easy, a month after its release Capcom released an update which added the much requested Hard and Ultra-Hard difficulties, in which the items break more easily and the food restores less health, bringing the difficulty closer to that of the previous games, five new Street Fighter themed costumes were also included within the update.[37][38] A further update was released on December 5, upgrading the game with a new game mode called Capcom Heroes, the new mode allows Frank to don 17 new outfits based on Capcom's video game franchises, each with their own moveset.[39][40][41]
Frank West is a playable character in the fighting games Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. with his special moves revolving around the use of zombies and the makeshift weapons from Dead Rising.[57] He has special dialogue with Nova, the Hulk, and Spider-Man, the latter of which he tries to compete with as a rival photographer.[58] Frank also appears as one of the characters at player's disposal in the tactical role-playing game Project X Zone, where he is paired with Hsien-Ko from the Darkstalkers series.[59] Frank West also appears as a multiplayer character in Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition,[60] and in the sequel, Lost Planet 2.[61]
Seems these game developers are actually trying to ruin person to person relationships by never offering local multiplayer, they want everyone to stay at home and talk to other people over a microphone.I miss the local-only-multiplayer days.I was actually looking forward to this one being local multiplayer but now as with other titles I had high hopes for I am completely turned off this one.THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ACTUALLY HANG AROUND REAL PEOPLE CAPCOM!!

Since the multiplayer is completely separate from the single-player story campaign, players will have unlocked different skills across the two modes. Thankfully, your skills will be persistent across your co-op characters.
The multiplayer mode is Dead Rising 4 is different than previous entries of the series. There is no co-op multiplayer campaign, but there are four multiplayer episodes that you can play with others online. The weapons and vehicles are similar to the single player campaign, but your abilities and starting weapons are different.
You can begin playing through an episode of multiplayer whether you are with teammates or alone. If you set your lobby to public before you enter the level, players can join up with you online when they select Quick Play from the menu.
You can also invite other players on your friends list over Xbox Live to a lobby before starting, as well as when the game has already begun. Playing with teammates is preferred, as things are a little bit different in multiplayer. But it is possible to play through each episode solo, though it is harder than you might think.
There are four main episodes in multiplayer. Each one has its own location and set of missions that you must complete. Objectives are randomized each time you play an episode, but some will repeat themselves in successive playthroughs.
On the next section, you may need to proceed to the waypoint and ring a gong with all players present. When this happens, a boss maniac will appear. Most of the time, this will be Santa Claws. Team up on the maniac and loot his body when he's dead, then roam the mall until the timer runs out once again. When you have to return to the safehouse, take the shortest route possible from your position.
For the multiplayer trials and achievements there are 3 parts. These three parts include Solo Trials, 2 player grinding (longest part), and finally a small 4 player portion. Multiplayer episodes can be started with one player, but some trials won't count unless there is two or more in the lobby. These can be done in any order, but note that you will not be able to unlock the later episodes until you complete a few missions on the previous episode (missions are yellow, side missions are blue and do not count towards the mission total). This will require you to play days 2-4 multiple times to get the associated trial for them.
Take note! Each episode contains 2 days. If you don't make it back to the safehouse before the day ends, you will fail the episode and have to restart both day one and day two. Additionally, your level on multiplayer and single player are not shared. Even though you might have gotten to 100+ in single player, you will still only be level 1 in multiplayer, which is very important in completing a trial that is going to be the first one mentioned. However, the scrap you do earn in the single player does transfer over into the multiplayer, which comes in very handy in making some of the trials easier.
Alright before we even get started on the multiplayer, you want to be sure that you knock out the Geronimo trial. Since you are level one and haven't unlocked any health upgrades yet, you want to get this trial done early before it is too late and you are no longer able to get it.
Once you have completed the Geronimo trial, you may have enough time in the day to eat 30 food items. If not, you can just wait until the next day to do so. We will be completing 3 more multiplayer trials by eating a lot of food, which includes Glutton I,II, and III, by eating 10, 20, and 30 times in one day, respectfully. In the spawn area, there is a large number of food items, all just waiting to be devoured. In Baron Von Bratheus Restaurant and Deli there are 5 pieces of food. In Dodd's Drugs there are 7 pieces of food. In Hamburger Fiefdom there are 11 pieces of food. In Colombian Roastmasters there are 11 pieces of food. Additionally, there are also carts located throughout Medieval town filled 6-8 food items. If you do happen to run short on food to eat (the trials completed will pop up in game), then you should have plenty of leftover scrap that you can use to buy food from the vending machine located where you spawned, but you shouldn't really have to come to this. Upon eating 30 items you will complete three more multiplayer trials.
