Hey, I just joined and I want to talk about my second language. I know English and Spanish. I learned Spanish from living in the Dominican Republic. I meet a lot of people in the United States that speak Spanish and I always feel embarrassed to speak the language. I know I am good at Spanish but, the nervousness of speaking to others ruins all the work I've done learning it. Like when I speak to some random guy that speaks Spanish after talking for like 5 minutes I get extremely nervous and forget how to speak. However, when I am in different countries I have a lot of confidence speaking the language but not in the United States. I just want to know if some people have any advice about this. Why is this happening to me?
