Bio: Dr. Lorini is a Scientific Researcher at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Italy. His research aims at extracting relevant information for disaster risk management. In particular,  he studies fusions of social media user-generated data with authoritative risk assessment data to fill the gap between risk and impact assessment.
