So I am trying to get my Flashforge Adventurer 3 set up, I have been having issues where it wont connect through flashprint, the printer shows up in the "Print>connect machine" when I try to connect it it sits for a second and then a pop up says "Error Connect Failed!" So I click ok and I am at a loss, they are connected to the same Wifi (2.4GHz it doesn't seem to want to connect to a 5GHz), I have a usb cable running from my desktop to the printer, any combination of them will not allow me to connect. I also have an issue where if I plug in a USB stick it doesn't say there is anything on the stick. If I download a file directly, open it in flashprint then save it as a .gx (which are the files on the internal storage of the printer) I am just at a loss for what to do and how to get it to work so I can print things.

Edit 1: After both restarting and shutting down the computer and 3d printer, issue is still happening. I have also made sure everything is up to date, double checked the 3d printer for updates, and while I had the newest flashprint I went as far as to uninstall and reinstall the newest version even checking for updates after installing. Issue is not resolved

I have a flashforge inventor 3d printer and looking for flashprint software for it. All I can find is deb file. I have tried alien to convert it but keeps failing. Any help with locating source code would be great.

I have a sketchup file that a student created as a model for a presentation we are giving in December. The team wants to print it on a Flashforge Dreamer printer. We have tried to export it out of sketchup as a .obj file and put in to meshmixer to prepare for print and when we do we get a flat picture. When we export it as a .obj file into the flashforge printer software, flashprint, the file is to small to print. In sketchup the student created the model that should be 4" cubed but when exported it ends up looking like 1 cm cubed I am attaching the sketcup model file for reference. Let me know if it would be helpful as well.
Mini prototype.skp (261.7 KB)

Had the flashprint up at the same time and attempted to match as many settings as I could to the High quality setting of flashprint. And yet it still errored even though all the settings I could see were the same.

what ive done is downloaded flashprint 3,4 and 5. I have sliced a blank file in each, here are the outputs: End code is the same for all 3, how i fixed the whine was by adjusting the M118 and the G1 lines to match FPv5.

I am currently trying to get cura to output a similar file. From what i can see and find, its related to the way adv3 handles extrusion, there is no G0 in flashprint, it is handled by M112 emergency Stop, tahs how retraction is done, through G1 Exxxx. The value dertermies retract or extrude.

This is the last update I swear, I fixed the end code it homes correctly and I cleaned up what was it necessary as per flashprint 5, the code is correct the procedure has been refined, this printer is now supported by cura because of this file

Just an update. Cura works with the MP latest firmware, what you need to do is slice a file in flashprint that is below the min layer height (a cube that is 0.010.010.01mm) Flashprint cant slice that and will give a blank gx file that is actually .g(for now)

I had boughten the 0.6mm nozzle (get it btw), and for the life of me i couldnt make it work, i was using flashprint 5 with mp that only had flashprint 3. i figured out that mp does not have the update in the firmware to support the newer nozzles.

This is possible, I have created the start and end g-code for a flash forge finder and have used it to print parts. You essentially open up a .gx file created by flashprint and copy the end and start gcode out and you are ready to go.

Hi, I tried to do this to change the parameter to change de nozzle from 0.4 (default) to 0.2 (new one), but when i open the flashprint, it appears with the standar Path Width = 0.4.
Have you done something similar?

Hi Robin, thanks a lot for your answer, I made a report about some troubleshooting with my flashforge printer (creator pro) I am a little bit frustrated about this, since I buy it to improve my quality of print but I have a lot of problems concerning quality or maybe I am exaggerating with that, Could you give me your email to send my report? Mine is: niltondel...@gmail.com

Hello, I am a researcher at the University of Michigan and I am having trouble viewing the gcode flashprint creates. After clicking the print button, defining the setting and clicking okay, the only file type option I have to save in is .x3g, which is unreadable. I see that you have pictures of the gcode in this article, could you share with me how you got access to those please?
