Subject: Litter
Dear Representative,
I am writing to you in connection with the unsightly condition of the Kiltipper Way / Kiltipper Road / Whitestown Way. The volume of litter on these roads, footpaths and verges is intolerable. This situation has been ongoing for the past year but has become significantly worse over the past 4 months.
The boundary of Sean Walsh Memorial Park running from Shamrock Rovers to Marlfield Estate is also a litter black spot. One of the nicest recreational areas within Tallaght is becoming a dumping ground. The volume of litter at the roundabout by Marlfield & Deerpark, especially by the bus stop and pedestrian access to the shops is unacceptable.
If Tallaght is to attract, sustain visitors and businesses to the area, and provide enjoyable recreational facilities for the local population the ongoing litter pandemic must be urgently addressed. No member of the community should be expected to live with this level of dirt.
I trust you will ensure there will be marked improvement in the attention paid to these areas and an effective litter management strategy be implemented. I will again forwarding a copy of this email to IBAL (Irish Business Against Litter) and seek inclusion of the area in their next survey.
Regards,
Sarah Reade
