Northwest High School Jagbots fundraising appeal

Hi all

This is a fundraising appeal on behalf of Yash and his FRC team Jagbots (FRC team 4638):

We had quite a run the past two weeks as we competed at the Greater DC and Northern Maryland District Competitions.  We finished ranked 10^th  in qualifying matches in Greater DC and 1^st in qualifying matches in Northern Maryland which made us the #1 Alliance Captain for the first time in our history.    We set a Chesapeake District record scoring 171 points along with our alliance partners in the quarter finals.  This past weekend we also won the Innovation in Control Award awarded by Rockwell Automation!!  In just our 4^th year, we have literally put the JAGBOTS on the FRC Chesapeake map this weekend!!  

 

We are currently ranked 14^th out of 132 robots after 5 of 7 District Qualifying events.  The final two districts are this coming weekend and then we will know for sure if we qualify for the Championship at UMD on Apr 7 – 10^th.    There are a total of 58 teams that will qualify for the Championship and while nothing is guaranteed it is highly likely we will qualify. 

 

We are entering uncharted territory possibly attending our 3^rd event in one year.  It looks like we need to raise another $5,000 to fund our $4,000 registration fee, parts needed for repairs and buttons/additional marketing materials so we can vie for more awards at the Championship!! 

 

FIRST’s new District model requires $4,000 more dollars than we are accustomed to raising.  Anything you could do would help us get our team front and center again at UMD!! We are pressed for time as well because registration fees are due April 1 which is right in the middle of spring break. So if you decide to help our team, just let me know the amount and I will commit that amount to the team on your behalf. Every little bit helps the team reach its goal of fundraising and competing in the District Chamionships at UMD the week of April 9.
