Call for Abstracts: TRB 9th International Visualization in Transportation Symposium

February 27, 2019 is the deadline for abstracts for the 9th International Symposium on Visualization in Transportation, which will be held in Washington, DC on November 5-6, 2019.  This symposium is a fantastic opportunity to see the latest in visualization technology and learn from practitioners and agencies across the country.

The interactive dashboard features face and fingerprint recognition as well as Amazon’s Prime Video and music services. It is Qualcomm’s blend of audiovisual technology and road safety measures through the cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology

Nebraska Launches Snow Plow Tracker for Winter Weather

In addition to checking road conditions with Nebraska 511's system, you can now also see where snow plows have been and where they're heading. The Nebraska Department of Transportation launched its online Plow Tracker, letting drivers get a view of the roadway from plows actively working to remove snow. The tracker can be found here.
