Transportation Visualization in the News

BTS Industry Safety Data Program [Dashboard]

A new web-based dashboard for advancing safety in oil and gas operations on the Outer Continental Shelf is now available to industry and the public as part of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) SafeOCS Reporting System. The new state-of-the-art dashboard increases transparency and improves the ability to follow trends, improve inspection planning, understand common factors and see meaningful relationships in process safety, personal safety and environmental stewardship on the OCS.

USDOT Airline Customer Service [Dashboard]

The U.S. Department of Transportation has created a dashboard to ensure the traveling public has easy access to information about services that U.S. airlines provide to mitigate passenger inconveniences when the cause of a cancellation or delay was due to circumstances within the airline’s control. A green check mark on the dashboard means an airline has committed to providing that service or amenity to its customers. A red “x” means the airline has not made that commitment. However, airlines with a red “x” may provide these services and amenities in some instances in their discretion.

WSDOT Multimodal Mobility [Dashboard]

WSDOT’s Multimodal Mobility Dashboard (MMD) provides annual performance information on select state-owned facilities. The MMD is an interactive web-based dashboard that includes less text while featuring more data visualizations, maps and travel modes, a user-friendly format and expanded areas of analysis.
