Hello -

I’m delighted to announce that the Caltrans sustainability team is recruiting to fill a new leadership position (open through April 20). The Sustainability Project Manager is a new position and a key role in our team.  The Project Manager will work closely with Jeanie Ward Waller, Sustainability Program Manager, and me. Our team, situated within the Director’s Office in Sacramento, is tasked with broadly implementing "Sustainability Goal #3" of the Caltrans Strategic Management Plan, which aims to rapidly increase active transportation and transit trips, reduce VMT, reduce greenhouse gas and toxic air emissions, improve livability and accessibility, prepare for climate change, all while trying to deliver more equitable benefits from the transportation system. It's a big task, and we need more talent! The individual who fills this position will help grow the team’s size and impact.
