Dear friend,

The recent Covid-19 pandemic and many of the states’ orders to stay-at-home has significantly influenced the way people travel, use public transit, and do their routine physical activities nationwide. We, a group of researchers at the National Center for Smart Growth, University of Maryland, are conducting a research titled “Investigation of behavioral changes during the Covid-19 pandemic” to investigate the influence of the pandemic and the statewide orders on the way people travel to meet their essential needs, do their routine daily activities, and get to work—if employed in an essential service sector. Please help us achieve this goal by filling out this survey and it should not take more than 10 minutes of your time. Please note that:

-        The survey is completely anonymous and will remain so throughout the entire survey and analysis process

-        The data will be stored in a secure and password protected computer on the University of Maryland campus and will only be accessible by the principal investigator and a few other researchers working on the project.

-        While taking the survey, you may skip any question they do not wish to answer.

Please go to this link or scan the attached qr code to participate. By completing this survey, you indicate you are at least 18 years of age, you have read this email and the survey introduction or have had it read to you, your questions regarding the study have been answered to your satisfaction and you voluntarily agree to participate in this research study. Please print a copy of this for your records. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the principal investigator at aan...@umd.edu. Also, if you have any questions about the survey participants’ rights, please do not hesitate to contact 301-405-4212 or email i...@umd.edu

Thanks,
