ADD40 Members and Friends,
Hopefully, many of you have already turned off your computers and are already home and unplugged, or you are recently returned from time off. If not, then I hope it’s quiet enough for you to catch up on any back logs of work but not so quiet that you find yourself staring blankly out the window. I’ve only heard of other people doing this…
In the spirit of TRB, here are all the sessions lead and co-sponsored by ADD40. The highlighted session are those ADD40 actually helped organize or ADD40 committee/subcommittee meetings. Also, please see the note below about the need for some volunteers to help Dan with his Thursday workshop.

Thursday
8:00 - 12:00 PM; Sustainability Next Steps: Sharing Information and Trends from the 2019 Annual Meeting and Identifying Next Steps for Research
ADD40 needs 5 volunteers to attend sustainability-related technical sessions during the conference and then help facilitate small group discussions and report outs at Thursday morning’s Session 1792 – Sustainability Next Steps: Sharing Information and Trends from the 2019 Annual Meeting and Identifying Next Steps for Research. One of our objectives is to consider refinements to the ADD40 definition of sustainable transportation as a system that meets present needs without compromising the needs of the future. It is an equitable and safe transportation system across land, water, and air; an adaptable, integrated, multimodal transportation system with an eye towards elevating the definition for TRB and/or NASEM. If you are interested in volunteering for this task, please contact Dan Hardy at dha...@citiesthatwork.com by January 3 for more information.
Looking forward to seeing many of you at TRB!

Hello, ADD40 Members and Friends,
Looking for a way to get active with the committee? Able to join us Thursday AM in session 1792? We’re looking for volunteers to help facilitate session 1792 table discussions by noting key findings/lessons learned from prior sessions you attend during the week. This is a great “bite sized” opportunity to network with your ADD40 peers and help advance our mission on refining our definition of transportation and sustainability and understanding research and synthesis needs. Please let me know at dha...@citiesthatwork.com for more information if you’re able/interested to pitch in.
Thanks,
Dan
