· TRB Centennial Papers: In recognition of the 100-year TRB Anniversary, many committees are preparing Centennial Papers. Let me know if you are interested in reviewing the AT040 Hazmat Committee Centennial Paper Draft.
· Freight Day: The Hazmat Committee is one of 17 Freight Committees that have organized a “Freight Day” at TRB Annual Meetings for the past 16 years. In keeping with this tradition, the Freight Chairs met on March 29 to discuss Freight Day Themes around “solutions to persistent freight challenges, including urban areas, freight supply chains, technology and energy.” David Willauer is working with several members on a session involving freight and energy transportation infrastructure challenges as a result of the impacts of the North American “energy renaissance.”
