Proposed Session – Presenting and Communicating Hazardous Materials Risk

Scope/Background – Last year we had a session titled “Risk Management” and we had a presentation on risk perception, a presentation on new technology for hazard identification, and a presentation on risk assessment. This year the session could focus on areas where improved risk communication is needed and new methodologies/techniques for communicating risk.

Presentation 1 – Land use (zoning), communicating with transportation and community planners at the local level (Wake County, NC)

Presentation 2 – Using advanced analytics and special technology to present risk (FACTOR)
