City Transportation Issues Coordinating Council at TRB Annual Meeting!

Hello members and friends of the TRB City Transportation Issues Coordinating Council,

The TRB Annual meeting is coming up quickly after the new year starts. We have a Council meeting and our city DOT executives roundtable to look forward to! Useful details:

• Council meeting: Tuesday, Jan 10, 8-9:45am - agenda attached.
  
  • Virtual option via Teams (with invite attached)
    
  • During the meeting we'll be discussing the draft Strategic Plan, also attached here for some advanced reading (it's short!)
• Session 2001 - City DOT CEOs Roundtable: Monday, Jan 9, 8-9:45am
  • This session is a roundtable discussion with several major city DOT executives (Pittsburgh, NYC MTA) and USDOT about current issues and related research needs. The session will touch on rethinking streets from the pandemic onward, rethinking organizations, and the opportunities and challenges of the new federal funding streams.
  • Updated session description should be coming in the online program
• Let's make a city-oriented curated program! As you are perusing the program and spot sessions that this group would be interested in, please add them to our crowdsourced list.

I know the committee meeting time means we'll miss most of our West Coast (and Midwest) friends attending virtually. Sorry! Other calls this year will be at a more reasonable hour.
