The TRB Annual Meeting is one month away! Time for some updates in preparation:
Annual Meeting
For all that are making their way to DC, I hope registration and travel plans are well underway and that you have started to look at the program. We have a handy flyer (attached, and on the website) that tells you where to find all your Major Cities-sponsored sessions.
Our committee will be meeting the evening of Monday, January 12th, from 5:45 - 7:15pm. The agenda is on the second page of the flyer. For those not coming to the conference, we will not have teleconference capabilities. Please let Ema (Ema.Ya...@phila.gov) know if you have announcements or comments you would like to share with the committee.
If you will be at the Annual Meeting, please fill out our quick survey so we can get a sense of at what sessions we can expect to see your friendly faces!
Logo Contest
On the communications side, I would like to create a logo for our committee. You – our members and friends – can be a pretty creative bunch so I am hoping graphic inspiration may strike a few of you. The communications sub-committee put together guidelines for the contest, also attached. Submissions are due Friday, January 9th. We'll be showing them at the committee meeting and we'll have an online
poll to select our logo after the Annual Meeting. Get designing!
Health and Transportation Task Force Proposed
The TRB Subcommittee on Health and Transportation is spearheading a recommendation for the establishment of a multi-disciplinary cross-cutting Task Force to inform the planning, design, and operation of arterials and corridors while considering the implications to public health. Please see the attached announcement if you are interested in this topic.
