Summer Committee Meeting and Freight Fluidity Performance Measures Workshop

Dear Members and Friends of Freight Transportation Economics and Regulation Committee (TRB AT010),

Our summer meeting will occur on May 20 starting at 1:30 EST.  From 1:30 - 2:45 we will have a joint meeting with Urban Freight Transportation Committee (AT030) then we will hold our committee meeting from 3:00 - 5:00 at the Keck Center in Washington D.C. 

This coming Monday is the last day to receive the advanced registration discount for the Freight Fluidity Performance Measures Workshop on May 21 -22 (see details below).

The Transportation Research Board, in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration Office of Freight Management and Operations, is hosting the Developing Freight Fluidity Performance Measures Workshop to explore the use of freight fluidity measures for gauging overall freight systems performance. The workshop will bring together private sector practitioners, government planners, and researchers to consider freight fluidity measurement and application.

Monday, April 21 is the last day to receive the reduced Advance registration rate. Prices increase after this date. The conference is being held Wednesday, May 21 - Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Keck Center of the National Academies in Washington, DC. Visit the conference website to register and to view the preliminary program.

Limited rooms are still available at the Grand Hyatt Washington. Make your reservation for the TRB special rate of $224 (prevailing per diem) plus 14.5% tax by April 21. Rooms may be at a higher rate this date and are subject to availability. The hotel may not be able to provide rooms at the group rate once the block of rooms is sold out.
