We had a slip mate last summer with one. Very solid seaworthy boat. Slow as
a trawler for sure, but rock solid.

I have a Rosborough RF-246 with twin 135 Honda outboards on a hull
extension platform. Yes they are amazing little boats, and yes they are
seaworthy. Also trailerable if you have the right gear. I get 13-20 kts
cruising, and up to 28 kts if I open them up. Some owners have much less
power which keeps them at trawler speeds, but they can be upgraded if you
want to. Also some come with diesels, but that reduces the cockpit space.
The RF-246 owners group has a very active Yahoo web site here:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/RF-246Owners/info. You can find all
kinds of information about the boats and see some for sale there. Good luck
in your search.

Oh, Geez; I can see Mr. G now trying to organize races so that he'll have something to do with his new "go fast" boat.

At around 19-20 MPH cruising speed, the only things I like to challenge are
trawlers and snailbotes because my passing rate with them makes me feel so
good.

I have finally found a way to ignore Rudy's endless series of anchoring
posts - read his book and then you are FREE.
