I have a 2001 DS02 with the Cummins ISL 370 engine. Last fall I had
the Spartan authorized service center in Salt Lake upgrade the
hydraulic fan system and ever since I have had cooling problems!
Currently the temperature gauge reads 215 when running down the road.
It has always run about 180 in the past. I have replaced the
thermostat and temperature sending unit and have had the radiator
flushed and filled with new fluid. When I measure the temp of the
engine block, or the coolant line at the thermostat with an infrared
thermometer it reads 190, but gauge inside the coach reads 215. Any
help would be appreciated. A couple of weeks ago I was pulling a long
grade and the inside gauge got up to 235, but I didn't get any check
engine lights. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks!

I think I would get the gauge checked.

Spartan could help you.
I had a speedometer that was 4mph off, and they repaired it via my Cummins dealer.  That's if it's a gauge problem.  They may be able to help troubleshoot the problem if it's not the gauge.
JD.
