Dometic Penquin A/C and Heat pump 15,000 btu Acting up

Hello All
today had the rear A/C unit start making funny sound, Sounded as
if a pressure valve was being released.
Compressor cont to run along with fan, Shut unit down went up for
inspection, after seeing nothing had wife fire it up again with me up
there. Compressor and fan started and cold pipe on the evaporator
side and warm on the condenser side which is normal. compressor
pulling around 13 Amps outside temp 92 which is right on. Coils
clean, after about 7 mins started making sound of pressure being
released....found that evaporator side would get hot during this 2 min
run then go back cold. Compressor never stopping or surging or
anything. these are heat pumps so they have reverse valves so they
can go to heat pump mode. Seems it was going into this mode on its
own. Back and forth every 5 min or so.
I checked central 5 button comfort control and unit stays set on
cool with unit doing this back forth deal. Other a/c doing fine

I unplug and reset all and other two A/c working without issue.
I place unit back on line starts doing it again .... shut unit off
I then turn unit on heat pump mode and it runs 20 min making heat and
never makes the noise or pressure being released
at 22 mins it throws the breaker.

I called dometic ( no Help ) they say that valve for that unit is no
longer avail ( 5 years old )
but however i was thinking even if valve was avail would spend the
money to Vac the system and recharge it ?
prob cheaper in long run to get a new Unit

So any insight would be Greatly Appreciated

sounds like it might be going in to a defrost cycle maybe. There is a
freeze stat bulb that is in the indoor coil.this maybe what it is
trying to unthaw the indoor coil. normally the reversing valve
requires power to go to cool.

thanks,,, I looked up in evaporator area and did not see any defrost
sensor, the coil has no Ice on it it was cool to touch
love to see a drawing of such sensor...may be on back side of the
evaporator will take a look..on line to find a schematic of the unit

Thanks so much for your insight into this issue !! I ordered the coil
from PPL and installed it in 20 mins A/C unit works great and cools
like a champ !
