Yesterday I purchased 3 Blem Interstate U2200 6 v batteries from my
local Interstate Battery Store for $45.95 plus core. I had read from a
previous post about the good price for replacement batteries from
Interstate for blems vs. buying new that now retail for $112.95 plus
core. Even if they fail after the warranty of 3 months, this is a cost
effective price for replacement batteries.

Check if you have an Interstate Battery Store in your area and contact
them. They are not always in stock, but I requested they call me if
they received any for sale. I still need one more, but do not intend
on installing until early March, and by then will have the 4th
battery.

When I replace them I plan on repainting my battery tray with the
black material they paint pickup beds with as it seem very durable. I
also plan on inspecting and the battery tray to insure it does not
collapse when pulled out. Has anyone had any problems with it pulling
loose?

I calculated the total wt.of the 4 house and 2 chassis batteries
between 375-400 lbs. I would hate to have it collapse while traveling.

Try this stuff: POR-15. This starter kit will do the battery tray.

Does any one know what stain was use in our Travel supreme coaches?   I have a 02  38DS02 with a golden oak cabinets.  I have been trying to match the color but I have been unsuccessful   Does anyone know the brand, color, and type of stain TS used?  I am putting in a new TV, and I need to stain the new oak trim for the new TV.  It will be very visible, so matching the color is very important.

Be very careful when you pull the battery tray out. I found that mine was
attached by only 2 sheet metal screws on the inboard portion of the rack and
they proceeded to strip out as soon as the rack was extended. This dumped
the full weight of the batteries in my lap, which managed to mess my lower
back up in good shape. You may want to consider getting a couple other folks
together to help you hold it up as you pull it out. Also, take some photos
of the wiring so as to reduce confusion when you put it back together. Good
luck!

I believe its called Honey&Spice take a sample to any good paint store and they will match the stain with no problem use a polyurethane varnish after staining.

I have no idea what Interstate considers the blem, there are no
labels, etc. on the case nor can I find what they consider the blem,
but for the low price I find it worth the purchase. The sales person
said he did not feel it was an issue that would effect the
performance.

If you find an Interstate Store in your area ask them what is
considered a blem.
