I had the "X-Bracing" done to my 45 foot TS Select a couple of weeks ago at Bishop's shop in Elkhart.  It's quite a procedure, and, after seeing it done and feeling the improvement, I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a Travel Supreme coach on the Spartan K2 chassis.

The real purpose of this post is to let everyone know what a valuable resource we have in Bishop.  This man knows our coaches.  He knows their strengths....and their weaknesses.  He understands how they were built, and can fix anything that needs repair.  I had him look at a few things while the coach was in for the x-bracing, and was pleasantly surprised at how he listened, wrote nothing down, and then proceeded to do everything I asked for, plus a few other small things that he encountered, like straightening the windshield wipers, a pet peeve of his.  We've been RV-ers for 11 or 12 years, now, having travelled over 120,000 miles during that time.  We've been to RV maintanance facilities all over the country.  I'm sure you've all had that wonderful experience where you talk to the service writer, outline your list of repair items, then pray that the work will actually get done and that there won't be more problems created by the incompetent techs working on your pride and joy than when you brought it in.  And, God forbid, if you think of an additional item or two, well good luck getting them to address those.

Bishop's shop was just the opposite.  The work got done, as planned, and the additional items were addressed as they arose.  I had an additional awning installed on the window over the desk.  Bishop ordered what was needed from Dometic, and I drove to LaGrange (about 20 miles from Elkhart) to pick the awning up.  Of course, Dometic had to back order a part, so it delayed the process.  Bishop was originally going to do the installation at his shop on Friday.  We had moved from his shop to the Elkhart campground, so when the awning parts delay occured, he offered to come to the campground to do the install, rather than having us go through the hassle of tearing down and moving to his shop again.  But wait, it gets better.  The parts didn't arrive until Saturday.  Bishop worked his schedule around to install the awning, at the campground, before the Little Leage babseball game at 1:00.  Wow.  Now that's service!

If you ever need to have anything done to your coach, make an appointment with Bishop.  You won't be disappointed.

Safe travels.

I can second that! I drove from Utah just to have Bishop work on my TS
and would do it again.

I'm wondering if Midwest RV where Bishop works is out of business???
I can't get them by phone. I'm on my way to Elkhart now. If they're
out of business, does anyone know of another place up there that can
rework my TV cabinents and install LCD TV's? Also need some other
minor repairs.

Try here, http://www.precisionrvinteriors.com/
I've had work done there and was very happy.
Depending on what year coach you have there's a good chance they originally painted it too.

Precision Paint in Bremen, IN is a great place as well. They do all types of
work, and are really catering to the orphaned T/S coach owners.

Try Precision Painting in Bremen, just outside Elkhart.  They do great work.

It's bishop at midwestcustomrv dot com , obviously replacing the "at" and
the "dot" with @ and .

As far as I know they're in business. He did my work three weeks ago.

You might also try Bishop on Facebook. He seems to be on there all
the time.
