Hi folks it has been a long time since I have commited on this post you had Bishop takeing care of you.But now he is out of the picture I will shoot off from Time to time. I am not going to bad talk him but I will give you the skinny on this as I did Every X bracing at Travel Supreme and pretty much hooked him up with my welder who knew how to do this.By the way I  am currently still Employed with a diffrent Oem and I was a service Group leader at T.S . I worked a little closer to Enginering Than Bishop did  and am still working with Enginering  at the outher company. The problem with the  T.S. is in front between the firewall and the roof you have roughly 5' 6"- 6' foot of space with a 2 inch aluminum tube then across the roof anouther 8 foot of space and then down anouther 5'6" of space this does not give you a lot of stucture. In outher words that is a big space for flex because it is not rigid. What I have seen done in the industry to cure this problem and believe me when I  say T.S. was not the only company to have this problem, and it would be expensive to do is basically take heavy duty steal tubing run it from the firewall up the a piller tie it into the roof all the way across and then run it down the outher a piller and tieing it into the firewall. Which brings you to the really expensive part to make this happen you need to remove the front cap with a Select being a seamed cap you have to cut it off the body wich when going back together would require body and paintwork. The only place I could recomend for such an endeavor Would be precision paint and that is if they got ahold of me to help them with the Technical aspects what they would charge I have no Idea but if there is enough intrest I could talk to Todd I still see him a couple of times per month at my current job and tell him what it would intel and get a gestamit of what he would charge to do it. What I can tell you for a fact is after this is done in conjuction with x-bracing I have seen air bags dumped and with 1 tire sitting on the ground the other lifted a foot off the ground and wind shield intact. But as I have said before this would be time consuming and expensive still I am sure this would be cheaper than a new coach. The problems you are incuring now is why I was never thrilled with the idea of selling x-bracing as the one ball cure all for windshield problems because there are multipal reasons for windshields popping out.The outher things I could recomend would be sure coach is fully inflated before you drive and that ride heigth is set correct as this can shift over time and drive slowly on uneven surfaces.  Hope this helps you understand what is happening to your coach. I had my windshield pop out 6 times.   I happened upon Simpson Glass, in Las Vegas. He is associated with Findlay RV, not too far from Sam's Town Casino.   He is one of the few guys who can adequately repair the problem by re-routering the frame of the windshield so it sits deeper in the frame.  cost is about $1700  I was glad to pay it.  Only one side popped out, but he fixed both sides.  I have had no problems since.   He may be able to refer you to others who know how to do it.   good luck

Hi Rich

How long is your Travel Supreme?

The reason I ask is we have a 2001 38' Travel Supreme on a Spartan Mountain Master Chassis.  We have never had the windshield popping out problem yet, the worst we have seen so far is the upper right corner (the passenger side windshield) the glass bulges up and slightly out in the rubber seal, but it doesn't pop out, the rubber seal just kind of gets a little bulge in it in that upper corner when we twist the chassis unevenly with the jacks.  We are really worried about this and from what we have read it seems like it is happening on the longer TS units that may be twisting worse because of the longer length and less rigidity?  We are hoping to hear that the problem isn't too bad or nobody has heard of it happening to a 38'.  We have only used it 4 times so far so we are still a little uncomfortable with the worries of the windshield problem. Our TS has not has the X bracing done to it.

Terill, I think most of us understand the "Halo" theory, as it's being used by Jayco on their current models.  But to retro fit our units with this modification is totally out of the picture due to costs...that is for sure!  What we've been discussing here is are cost-effective methodologies that are AFFORDABLE for most owners.  We'd be appreciative of any further info you could provide about other options available to us.  Thanks for your help.
