Noteworthy points :

- Applicant is required to enter all the necessary information in the
application.
- Confirm and pay the processing fees
Applicant needs to recheck all the information is
correct before proceed to the next step. Make the payment with Credit/
Debit Card via ENETS or PAYPAL. Ackowledgement email with application
code will be sent to applicants.
- Get approval letter within 2-3 working days
After 2-3 working days, applicants will get visa
approval letter via email. Print out the letter with barcode and bring
along with passport, then show them to Immigration officer at Myanmar
arrival checkpoints.

Yangon - Myanmar will introduce an electronic visa application system next month to facilitate visits to the once isolated state, news reports said Sunday.
'We are trying to introduce an e-visa system from March that would allow international visitors to apply for a visa from anywhere via the internet before visiting Myanmar,' Tourism Minister Tint San told the Myanmar Times.
The liberalization of visa procedures is likely to facilitate another jump in tourist arrivals in 2012.
Total arrivals to Myanmar last year were 816,369, up 26 per cent from 791,505 tourist in 2010, according to government sources.
Tourism revenues amounted to 319 million dollars last year, compared with 254 million in 2010, she said.
Myanmar has introduced a series of reforms since March.

Ministry of Hotel & Tourism.but that the Ministry Of Home Affairs,
Special Branch & Immigration have not yet agreed to cooperate .The
same happened a few years ago with Diamond Palace Travel Agency, who
had a good connection with MOHT. Then they advertised a Visa Express
Service within 3 days. The Ministry Of Home Affairs & Immigration did

This concerns the Guides and tour companies as well as we need to help
our clients come again to Myanmar but they want us to do everything
including visa. Too bad the service will come only at the end of tour
season.

It did not mention the year though.
Many involved in eVisa thinks this is a cure-all which will solve the
problem of inability to enter and exit from different entry-points.
There is a myth, too , that if eVisa is operational, floods of
tourists will come in, making more problems in accommodation etc.
During eVisa operated by the military intellengence by Bagan
Cybertech, only 600 visas are processed before it was terminated.
There was no provisions for travel agents to apply for their clients.

I have some question for e-visa and business visa on arrival.
1. Is a Myanmar company endorsement needed for business visa on
arrival? What documents of that company is needed e.g tax, director
list, registration etc.
2. When Business Visa on Arrival and Tourist Visa on Arrival start as
the minister of Immigration said, do travelers still need to use E-
Visa?
3. When an infant accompany with mother, how to apply E-Visa?
4. Can a Myanmar local organize Visa on arrival for his or her group
of travelers (both Tourist visa on arrival and business visa on
arrival)?
Any input from informed person is appreciated.

YANGON 30 April 2012: Business visas on arrivals will be introduced by
Myanmar, 1 June, Union Minister for Immigration and Manpower, U Khin
Yee, reported in a briefing to local press, yesterday, held at the
Ministry of Industry in the capital, Naypyitaw.
The visa will be issued on arrival at Yangon Airport and cost US$40
with a 70-day validity.
The country had a visa-on-arrival for certain nationalities in the
tourism only category, but suspended it in 2010. The facility was
popular with tourists who were able to plan a trip to Myanmar on speck
and get the visa-on-arrival at the airport. But it was only in place
for six months and was suspended despites its popularity due to
political reasons.
U Khin Yee said talks were on-going with travel agencies that should
see the country follow with a tourist visas on arrival for ASEAN
passport holders in the near future.
It should not be confused with visa-free entry that is stipulated in
the ASEAN charter. Member countries are supposed to allow ASEAN
citizens visa-free entry for up to 15 days. Only Myanmar and Cambodia
have not complied with the charter. Cambodia charges all nationalities
including ASEAN citizens for a visa on arrival at any of its airports
and international border checkpoints.
Myanmar’s decision to revive its visa-on-arrival for business visitors
is viewed as a step in the right direction. However, to generate a
boom in travel from ASEAN markets, a visa-free stay would be more
effective.

Presidential approval is gained for Visa on Arrilval at the Airports
provided they are not blacklisted. This is initiated by Ministry of
Immigration so it will surely happen. Brace for more tourist. My Best

applicants who I encourage to go to Myanmar Embassy.
I get most of my info from the Airport and hope that some people are

7. produce letter of invitation by the ministries concerned if he is
going to attend meetings, workshops, events and ceremonies.
8. not be allowed to engage in any sort of work with or without
charges apart from the professions mentioned in the visa application
form.
9. produce air ticket to the destination if he is applying for
transit visa.
10. stay at the hotels, motels and guest houses holding legal
licenses issued by Myanmar Government, and factories and workshops
legally permitted as well as human dwellings; and exactly mention the
address he will stay at.
11. make a promise to strictly abide by the existing laws, rules,
procedures, orders and directives issued by Myanmar Government.
12. have under-seven-year-old children accompanying parents in the
passport granted visa free of charge; be able to produce the evidence
of parent-children relationship if the children are holding separate
passport.
13. not be allowed to travel to the restricted areas without seeking
prior permission.
14. report to the office of the township Immigration and National
Registration Department concerned at which he stays within Myanmar
mentioning the address of hotels, motels, guest houses, factories and
workshops legally permitted as well as human dwellings.
