Cambodia's largest casino group is moving into aviation with a plan to fly in its high-end customers from China and Russia.
It will launch its own fleet of jet aircraft and build a $15 million VIP terminal at Phnom Penh International Airport.
Nagacorp hopes the private VIP service will double the number of Chinese customers at its casinos.
Following
the recent purchase of an Airbus A320 jet, NagaCorp will collaborate
with outbound Chinese travel agents to offer regular charter services
for gamblers.
China is Cambodia's second largest market behind
Vietnam and so far this year Chinese visitation to the country is up
almost 19%.
Last week Nagacorp reported a 61% rise in VIP gaming revenue for the first six months of the year to $86 million.
The
group is awaiting a decision on its airline operational certificate
application from the Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation.
