Are foreigners allowed to rent motorbikes and drive them themselves in NPT?

Dear all,

Are foreigners allowed to rent motorbikes and drive them themselves in Naypyitaw?

Since foreigners are not allowed to drive motorbikes in Bagan, and because there is a total ban of motorbikes in Yangon, I would be happy to learn about the situation in NPT?

Dear Mr. Tobias,

If you want to rent and ride motorbikes in Nay Pyi Taw by yourself, you need have international license or your country's license and take along with you. And you have to follow traffic rule of our country. There also have some road that bikes are doesn't allow to enter or something like that.

Dear Tobias,

Yes, international visitors (instead of using foreigners) are not allowed to drive motorbikes in NPT without international driving license. International License issued by authority with reference to your valid driving license from country of origin attached together with passport detail and photo. In some countries in Asia, some visitors using FAKE international driving license issued at Khao San street market and abusing local traffic rule. Therefore, please contact local authority to get international license and you need to follow local traffic rule. All travel agents and local authority are always ready to assist you every wish and whim of visitors in Myanmar.
