Getting into Laos through border

Dear Tourism Gurus!

I would appreciate it if someone could advise me whether or not it is possible to go into Laos from Tachilate or somewhere else near there. It is for both Myanmar citizens and foreigners.

Just hold your passport  n pass, free visa.

 First you should submit your passport at immigration Myanmar side then pass across the road to Myanmar police station for record .

Across the bridge and fill visa  at Thai immigration .  no photo. 

It is better to visit Laos through Thailand . 

It is about 4 hours by car from Myanmar side and road is not smooth yet . 

In thai - Laos border 

No photo , no visa fee , just show your passport .

For American visitor -  35 usd

bridge but this bridge still not open.When will you travel this trip?

It is not possible to go into Laos through border.I ve been in Loas ,Vietnam and Thai in October.We don"t need Visa but we must visit by Air there.
I wanted to Laos and Thai through border.It isn" t permited.

Last year in may , former president opened friendship bridge .later I don't know.
