Dear travelers,

by chance I have recently used evisa service from http://www.myanmar-visa.org/ , e-mails: ser...@myanmar-visa.org, myanma...@gmail.com.

I paid $260 for 2 pax for urgency, sent them scan copies of passports + photos, they confirmed receipt of the docs, promised to send visa approval letters within 1-4 days but then escaped! There were no emails from them in spam box. I tried to contact them many times but they didn't reply.

Hoping that we could get the visa on arrival I came to Yangon but we were refused by immigration officers right on the border and were pushed to be departed back.

As a result, our trip failed, I lost tons of money due to non-refundable hotel bookings and tickets. I checked the web site is registered under fake name, address and phone No. It's definitely a scam.

Now I initiated the process with my bank to recall the payment and to start criminal investigation against this fake company. I wish those guys paid for that scam in full!

Please DON'T use this web site for Myanmar e-visa. Use the official one of the government - http://evisa.moip.gov.mm/ which is very convenient and quick.

I believe Myanmar authorities should take active measures against such scams and liquidate all those websites that make fraud with e-visas of their own country.

I kindly ask you to spread and repost my message to everybody you know to avoid Myanmar e-visa scams.

Thanks Bo Saw for sharing this to our attention. I'm actually confused that sometimes in recent past, my travelers got visa through this website. I feel so sorry for the loss of the travellers as well as trust in that website which was so convenient to refer. I hope the authorities can do something about it.

Thanks for sharing the information. Guess who is it? We heard a lot of complaints but not the real case with proof of fraud.

Best regards,
