Myanmar ancient tower temporarily closed

The archaeology department has temporarily closed down a 19th century watchtower inside Innwa, Myanmar’s ancient capital.
An official from the department said the 27-meter high Nanmyin tower will undergo renovation as the staircase leading to the top has been rotting away. He added the tower is also tilted to one side, having gone through several earthquakes.
The centuries-old tower was severely damaged after two earthquakes in 1830 and 1839. The staircase and the spire-shaped roof were restored in 1991, while the square-shaped masonry building remained in its original state.
The tower was built inside the palace complex when King Bagyidaw rebuilt the Innwa capital in 1823.Innwa or Ava, located in central Mandalay Region, is an ancient imperial capital of Myanmar kingdoms from the 14th to 19th centuries.
Landmarks such as Mae Nu Oak Kyaung, the Bargaya Monastery, and other ancient pagodas are also popular tourist destinations.
Visitors will be allowed to go up the tower once renovation has been completed.

How about proposing to close all the pagodas in Bagan as they are much older in terms of age, perhaps weaker& more vulnerable than the said two edifices for the purpose of CPR___ Conservation, Preservation, Reservation!
