I know this is a common issue and wanted to comment on my recent
experiences. I've been losing a small amount of fluid over the past
two years, prompting me to replace the plastic drain valve inside the
HH unit itself. When that didn't help, I decided to finally tackle
the inspection of all heat exchangers under cabinets, checking the
connections. I found one radiator under the kit base cabinet which
had a clamp installed on the edge of a copper stub coming out of this
box, causing a hole in the rubber hose connection. A simple re-fit of
this line appears to have solved my leakage issue. So everyone with
this problem needs to check these two leakage possibilities. These
boxes are readily visible by removing cabinet floors or drawers.
