Thailand Lady Boy Chicken Fried Rice
I have my favorite places to eat, gravity pulls me back too them, I am never sure quite why. The photo below is of a Lady Boy that runs a street stand where he or she cooks Chicken Fried Rice and I am sure other foods if I would try them, I am not brave with food. I eat here daily to get my fair share of the Thailand Rice, hoping it will keep me small like the Thai people.

Pony Tail today, safe to eat, because you watch her or him cook.

I was trying to get in touch with my hungry inner child,! thinking, why do I like this Lady Boy ran street food? I know for sure the Chicken Fried Rice made in the streets is about five levels better than the white rice, tasteless stuff sold in the Hotel Restaurants that clutter Khao San Road. And for the 20 Baht, or about 75 Cents USA, it is good bargain compared to the clutter food price of 1.25-1.50 USA for white rice something that has the shape of a overturned bowl.

I think I like this Lady Boy, he-she is pleasant, remembers I do not like Tomatoes and is very proper and polite. He-she or she-he never give me the grimace, that Thai girls look, like do not bother me, just give me the money, the pout, mean Thai girl look. Where does that come from, not the land of smile anymore, land about money.

I truly do not like eating every meal out, I would any day rather cook about half to three quarters of my meals in guest kitchen in th hotel. Asia has trouble with the guest kitchen idea, the food is cheap here, h! owever, that is not the point, I live here today, I do not want to lea ve my home every time I am hungry, I want to raid the fridge, cook food with my friends, and share some camaraderie. Same thing with the TV, I want lay around on couches and watch TV, I do not want to sit at a picnic table to watch a movie share with the receptionist who want to watch cartoons, soap operas or football.

I normally stay in Hotels double the time where there is a Kitchen, common area with couches to Watch TV, and groups of travelers that just see this as the common areas as places where they must stop and talk.

The Lady Boy is friendly, I do not care if it is, he-she, she-he I like my cook to be friendly and cook good food.

Lady Boys, not boys walking around with limp wrist, but boys dressed like girls are spaces every few feet apart in Thailand; this society just seems to make them. After a person gets over the initial mental confusion of looking at girl with bigger than normal breast, then realizing or thinking, this is a guy,! all the confusion starts to leave.

Yep, that would be a good-looking girl, if she was not a boy, there is something that hits the brain, it, she, he does not have the essential woman ways, there is the girl missing. I really do not know what I am talking about, but I know the lady boys are missing the essential part of a woman, whatever that is.

This is where I eat Breakfast, for 45 Baht, about 1.10 US. Dollars, I can have a cheese omelet just across the street from the Lady boy and other assorted street food stands.

Both of these places are behind the Wat, or Temple, a good place to live because of the food stands, trees, shade, and about three notches down on the circus noise volume of Khao San Road.

I also like the New Joe Guesthouse, I am not sure, I like to eat in a place that is not a circus, and more like a ! roadside diner, with about the same food and service. The New Joe is b ehind the D & D Inn, and close to Jeroen the Travel Agent at Nat Tours. A quiet place, has a newspaper, and TV with no volume. (Toilet)

There are some really good Turkish Chicken Kebobs, diagonally across from the Wat for 49 baht; Chicken here has doubled in price, from 49 Baht for a whole chicken prepared at the grocery to 92 Baht…

Chicken Inflation

I do not know the name of the Lady Boy, I took this photo at about 7:00 AM in the morning, and there was about 5 other lady boys hanging around who forgot to go home after party. I never have figure it out, you would think there would be tons of working women, but nope, there are tons of Lady Boys hanging around in the morning on Khao San Road, someone must like them, or they found a market on Khao San Road. I sometimes think I need to go to Sukumvit.

Lady, boy, girl, she, he, it, whatever, I do not want the world to stray too far from what functions, however live and let live provid! ing every one has respect for each other. Not that there is a ton of that on Khao San Road… hehehe, but the Lady Boy Lunch is good…
