This looks interesting. Margaret
Dear All,
our co-thinker Andrej Umansky from organization
"Yahad-In Unum" is currently working
on traveling exposition about the fate of Roma during WWII
in Romania and Soviet Union. Key parts are excerpts of testimonies of
witnesses and Roma survivors (180 are interviewed until now).
The goals of the exposition are:
- Transmit the history of Roma persecutions to the Roma people to
establish their right to dignity today.
- Teach Europeans the history of the
Roma genocide.
- Fight the persistent discrimination against the Roma
today.
The exposition will first be shown in Brussels and would travel to
other European cities but also abroad. You will find a larger presentation in
the attachment.
For the ending part of the exposition a staff of
"Yahad-In Unum" is
considering to show on a screen at least a dozen of
statements of young Roma people
about their thoughts on how to fight
anti-tziganism today and/or their hopes for the young Roma in the European
society. 2-3 sentences are sufficient
and there is no strict limitation to the content of the message.
If you are interested to participate in this valuable project please make
contact with Andrej Umansky via
a.um...@gmx.de
Respectfully yours,
Mr. Valery Novoselsky,
Executive Editor, Roma Virtual Network.
