Hello Scott,
Hearing of your plan to make a teaching activity around Bob's book,
it occurs to me bringing a party of Roma children to the next
Roma Genocide Remembrance could be part of that.
This is always on 2 August and has been traditional in
Hyde Park. Next year, however, it may be in the
Victoria Towers Gardens next to Parliament as the
national Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre is
due to be built there.
Let me know what you think.

I haven’t got a price yet for it from the publisher but will gladly let you know when I have the details. I will always do anything I can to support Roma/Sinti/Jenisch Holocaust matters. The murders of Nuri in the Middle East then (and now) has also never been highlighted that I am aware of. If you were thinking of several copies, you would be best going direct to the publisher as you would then get a good discount. (Unusually, I even have a Jenisch photo.)
Grattan: I was on a heart op waiting list when the NHS was safe in Mrs Thatcher’s hands and was on a 3 year wait. I went on various courses etc and got bumped up the lists to 18 months but by the time of my op in Spring 2000, 4 of the 5 arteries were inoperable. They ‘hoped’ they had given me 3 years and I have been denying them ever since but am aware of being on borrowed time. One lung later packed in but got some use back. I am also very deaf and very poor vision: I daren’t take an animal to the vet’s in case the very thinks I have gone to be put down.
