Favorite Limits. Although there are no limits officially from Qobuz the latest Windows rev stops working with a large favorite list (5,000+). This continues to be the fact. Qobuz is aware of this and promises a fix in the next rev. Web player also chokes on a list of this size 95% of the time. I continue to patiently wait for this fix since this is the best audiophile streaming service in existence. I've tried them all Tidal comes in a distant second in SQ. I've learned that those of us who have spent considerable time and money amassing a library of this size will not lose the lists created if they cancel the streaming service but not the account profile. I've chosen to continue to subscribe to the streaming even thought I can't use it. I want to support the company as it goes thru growing pains. Can't do it forever but I want to give them a chance to get it right. I have yet to see another user mention this same problem - if you do have 5,000+ favorites and use the Win10 app I'd appreciate hearing about your experience. Thx!

i think that there is a clause buried deep in the qobuz contract limiting the number of devices that you can run qobuz on (i think it was 3 devices - so phone ipad cyrus). naim tend to be punctilious about such things so it may be they are getting an error code from qobuz and not connecting) - check the contract or maybe contact qobuz support - i may well have missrembered

One of the more significant issues we had previously was shifting playlists with thousands of songs. No More! There are no limits to the number of songs in a playlist we support so fixing this bug was crucial. We want you to be able to transfer your all your playlists, no matter the size.

By default, qobuz-dl will skip already downloaded items by ID with the message This release ID (item_id) was already downloaded. To avoid this check, add the flag --no-db at the end of a command. In extreme cases (e.g. lost collection), you can run qobuz-dl -p to completely reset the database.

The result of the DR measurements is consistent with the waveform analysis, i.e. a DR6 for the digital stereo versions (with dynamic range limitation), a DR9 for the Binaural lossless versions and a DR10 for the vinyl and DR13 for the multi-channel Atmos versions.

The spectrum of the blue vinyl and Qobuz overlap up to 13 kHz, then the level of the vinyl decreases compared to Qobuz (yellow zone) up to 5 dB of difference. The yellow arrow shows the 24 kHz frequency limit of the Qobuz version due to its 48 kHz sampling rate.

The two versions Qobuz Hi-res stereo and Tidal Atmos Binaural are different at the bottom (green zone) and top (yellow zone) of the spectrum due to the difference in mixing. The Tidal Atmos Binaural version is limited to 20 kHz due to the Dolby AC4 encoding used for the Binaural version.

The Atmos decoded in 5.1 version represents Dolby Digital Plus without decoding the Atmos channels. The central channel is almost not used (orange curve), we find the filtering at 120 Hz (purple arrow) of the channel dedicated to the bass frequencies (LFE). The limitation to 20 kHz (yellow arrow) is due to the Dolby Digital Plus encoding which limits the bandwidth to better compress the data, despite the use of a 48 kHz sampling frequency, as shown by the 24 kHz limit of the green arrow.

The spectrograms of the Tidal Atmos Binaural and multichannel versions below are identical with a frequency limitation at 20 kHz (yellow arrow) due to the Dolby Encoding. There is no signal above this frequency (white arrow). The red area shows the suppression of high frequencies to optimize the data compression in order to reduce the throughput. The bass channel is limited to 120 Hz (green arrow).

IMO, the audiophile hobby must not be limited to just 2-channel discussions. Our mission as hobbyists - seeking the highest fidelity audio - does not stop at just 2 channels up front, perfect speaker placement, sitting in some ideal sweet-spot. We live in a world of 3D soundfields which can be better replicated using multichannel arrangements.

Clearly, if multichannel / Atmos / "immersive" / "spatial" audio is important to you, Apple Music is what you need currently (streamed as lossy Dolby EAC3-JOC, 16/48, typically 768kbps). Amazon and TIDAL also have some Atmos-encoded as well as Sony's 360 Reality Audio (360RA, based on MPEG-H 3D Audio) content. Even though the music is there, hardware options for multichannel streaming is limited at this time however so it's best to do some research into what could work for you; lots of development ahead in this space!

The statement that the western world has access to 5Mb/s streaming is just not true. there are plenty areas where this is the limit and considered that in the same family some members will look at Netflix, play an online game or are in a zoom meeting makes lowering the bitstream bandwidth a good thing.
