i'm noticing a bit of back and forth in the replies and thought i should clarify (or well more so just make sure everything is said in one), with iOS 14 there were two indicators added to iOS, there is the orange dot indicator, and the green dot indicator, the orange dot basically is just there to tell you that the microphone is in use by something (in your case it was by the system for a phone call), with a green dot it indicates that the camera is being used by something, also something worth noting is that lets say your recording a video or something, instead of showing orange and green at the same time, the green overpowers the orange and overall it just shows a green dot even though both are being used, idk why exactly they don't just show both dots next to each other but they don't and we're stuck with it for now, also to set another thing in stone is, as of for now, there are NO indicators for recording, only for use, my thoughts on why is probably for analytical purposes, lets say an app wanted to use snippets of microphone data for improvement (which may or may not be against apples terms for developers, i'm not exactly sure but lets just say it isn't), it would constantly be randomly popping up with a little recording icon, so basically overall please read this whole thing but just for conclusions sake, orange - microphone use, green - camera use, no, NO, recording indicator, only "use" indicators, i hope this helps and really clarifies things and if you have any other questions, comments, or honestly anything, feel free to ask more and i or someone else would love to help more (if needed)

I was on a phone call with an insurance company about a quote & all of a sudden I started getting all kinds of requests from other insurance agencies to give me a quote as well all because the recording button being on my phone. I DO NOT LIKE IT AND WANT IT REMOVED!!! I feel like it is an invasion of our privacy!!!!!

What recording button? There is no such button. There is an indicator light showing that the mic was turned on which it was since you were using it while making your call. This has nothing to do with all the requests you got, those came because the insurance company you contacted checked your driving record with the state which all other insurance companies can see. Then like buzzards they move in.

GetcallLast but not least, Getcall from AppYogi is a fully-featured iPhone call recorder app. It supports 3-way calling and allows you to record incoming and outgoing calls. As soon as the call ends, your recording is saved inside the Recordings tab. What I have liked the most in Getcall is the hassle-free way of editing recordings. So, if you are looking for a call recorder that can let you fine-tune your recordings with better control, I would recommend you check out this app. If anything, my only disappointment with this app is the lack of a basic freemium variant. That means you will need to subscribe to this app ($5.99/week) if you want to use it for your call recording needs. Download: Getcall (Free trial, $5.99/week)All these apps are compatible with the latest iOS version, that is iOS 16. The problem is that most apps use the merge . This includes a beep sound that the other side can understand his call is being recorded. Is there an app that avoids this issue in a way the other user will not know his call is recorded ?

When deciding which of the best call recorder software apps to use, first consider what actual needs you have. For example, someone simply wanting to use one on a casual basis may find a free or cheap option is the most cost-effective while providing all of the necessary tools that would be required. However, if you're planning to use call recording for professional or business purposes, especially with a large number of people and on a regular basis, then you will probably want to look to the higher-end options for the more advanced tools that are included.

The free version of this app comes with ads, but it offers most of the essential recording features that users need. You can choose to record every call or list specific contacts for recording your conversations. Starting a manual recording mid-call is free, too.

To test for the best call recorder software we searched for a range of popular options as well as took recommendations from people we know who use call recording software regularly.
