to TRANUS
Dear All,

This is Rahman, a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. I hope everybody is doing great in good health. Thanks to the Modelistica for making TRANUS freely available for us all.

I was planning to implement the TRANUS simulation for a part of my Ph.D. dissertation to investigate the impacts of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) on the spatial distribution of land uses (e.g., residential, employment). For that purpose, I and my academic supervisor were thinking of simulating several scenarios using TRANUS. For example, what would be the situation if the AV market share is 10% of all vehicles in a study area?, what would be the situation if the AV market share is 50% of all vehicles? What would be the situation if the waiting time for AVs increases by 5 minutes? etc.

My question is particularly related to the AV share in the transportation network. How could I specify the market share of AVs within the TRANUS framework to simulate the spatial distribution of different land uses? I know we can assign certain modes to certain routes. However, we wanted not to impose any restrictions on the network for the AVs (i.e., AV would use a certain route).

I was reading different materials that I found on the TRANUS website to get the answers to my questions but could not figure it out. I will be highly glad and grateful if you can provide some directions in this regard. Moreover, If you have a similar kind of study, can you please share it with me so that I can get some ideas?

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Rahman
