Thanks for that. However, here's the problem: Most of those older Music Maker versions aren't currently installed on my system. In fact, I probably won't be able to install most of them even if I tried, cause they're not compatible with Windows 10. The function in the Music Maker suggests that I could just unlock the content by entering the old Music maker serial numbers. This does seem to work for the VST instruments and function but not for the sounds/loops which are part of every Music Maker version. It's not really clear why it wouldn't work. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. But why would Magix specifically exclude the loops from this, especially when they suggest it should work.
The PREMIUM version is just as suitable for beginners as MUSIC MAKER FREE. MUSIC MAKER 2024 PREMIUM offers additional plug-ins and features that provide you with more creative freedom for your music production. Additionally, PREMIUM enables you to produce songs and beats on an infinite number of audio tracks (whereas, FREE allows you to produce on a maximum of 8 audio tracks). The intuitive user interface is the same in both versions.
MUSIC MAKER is a fully-fledged entry-level software for music production. Create your own songs & beats, arrange sounds & loops, play virtual instruments, record vocals & instruments and add effects in just a few steps.
MUSIC MAKER FREE is completely free and offers everything you need to create your own music. MUSIC MAKER PREMIUM is fee-based and offers you an infinite number of tracks and many creative tools for professional-sounding productions.
I'm reasonably technically adept, but brand new to music composition software, MIDI, VST instruments and so on. Recently I got my hands on Magix Music Maker, 64-bit, version 29. I do realise that this is a child's toy compared to most pro DAW tools, but still there are many features beyond my current skill level, so I feel no pressing need to upgrade to something that would be better documented for integration with Spitfire Labs.
Hi, I have another issue with Music maker and labs vst. I installed the vst patches in a D: drive and added their paths into Magix Music Maker. I can select for example the electric piano and it works fine. But when I save my project and reload it, Magic Music maker gives a fault message that it can't find labs, and then the music I recorded is back the sound of my Yamaha keyboard. So, Music Maker doesn't save the labs vst application change I've made to the track... Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?
The DAW features of Vegas Pro aren't made for loop and sample based editing and music arrangements. No sound pools, no software instruments, no MIDI editor, no VST3 support (which isn't part of the free version of Music Maker). Also the given FX in Music Maker are straightforward meant for music optimization.
MusicMaker is a min-DAW but has many great features and uses. Putting aside the free version and using Live or better Premium, you can have umpteen MIDI instruments, and thousands of Soundpool loops, with up to 7 different pitches each, and many styles. Here is a tutorial that I did with an older version of MusicMaker and Magix Movie Edit Pro showing how to dub (add music and other effects) to a video. This may give you or others some ideas as to the usefulness of MusicMaker. Of course, the same can be done using Samplitude Music Studio or Samplitude, but the interface is much more user-friendly. I would expect that Magix would introduce the same Share features for Vegas. Any evidence of this?
this makes me really sad. i loved vgm music maker and i really appreciate all the work you put into it. i'm sorry if it wasn't a good experience for you but you should be really proud. good luck with whatever you do next!
On the other hand, anyone looking for a serious music making and music production platform should look elsewhere. The lack of VST plugin support in the free version of Music Maker is one of the biggest deal breakers for advanced users, who should either take a look at Music Maker Premium Edition or check out some of the many other DAWs available on the market.
If interested in Music Maker, better save some money and purchase the next version up with VST support. I had purchased few years ago the Music Maker & Music Studio as a bundle. Great to start to get into music recording, but the new free version is far too limited for any use.
What a great musical add-on to your Feather! That's why we spun up this super FeatherWing, perfect for use with any of our Feather Boards! Music (MP3) playback testing working with all Feathers. MIDI playback works with all Feathers but you may need to remove the 'Wing during programming and also for USB-Serial Feathers like the ESP8266 and nRF52 you'll end up re-using the main Serial console for MIDI which can be confusing.

There is only one version available which is 25.1.xx.xx. There is no difference whether you have free, plus, premium, EDM, trap, hip hop beat producer or 80s edition.
It is always the exact same program.
But when you activate a edition in the programm it will unlock the contents from the edition.
So after you activated the edm edition you will get additional 3 edm soundpool coupons and 1 instrument counpon.
You can also activate other editions like trap, hip hop beat produer, 80s or even older music maker versions (MX-2017)

"I don't make beats, i make music" Sounds as dumb as "I'm not a painter, im an artist. I just happen to paint to make my art." Dumb wordplay on original meaning of words. What year is it now and how is that word Beats used??
