When the five children overhear a man (Ashraf-ul-haq) mention buying a parachute, the kids follow him and his friends, but it turns out that the four men are terrorists planning an operation needing parachutes.

In search of his lifelong dream to fly, Pappu has run away from his small home town of Nainitaal in search of his parachute along with four of his friends all the way to Mumbai leaving their parents angry and at the same time worried about the children. This comedy explores these childrens adventures in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai and their various interactions with the cities people.

Satrangee Parachute Story - Pappu (Siddhartha Sanghani), a precocious kid, wants to find a parachute for his visually impaired friend Kuhu. He sets out with a bunch of friends from Nainital to Mumbai in order to fulfil his mission. But Mumbai is murky city.Pappu and his buddies get embroiled with a gang of terrorists who are determined to create terror in the city with dubious parachutes.

Sadly Satrangee Parachute fails to address any of these questions with its narrative that appeals neither to kids nor to adults. The storyline may be interesting and hold potential as a drama about a bunch of kids trying to blow up a terrorist plot. But its delineation is so serious, so tedious and so unfunny, it makes us adults fidgety. Can't imagine what it would do to an audi full of restless kids!

If the bachcha party lacks characteristic badmashi, then the adult cast looks totally confused. Both Jackie Shroff and Kay Kay Menon are clueless cops, while fine actors like Sanjay Mishra and Zakir Hussain haven't much to do. Please let's get less uptight about kids and start treating them as an intelligent and naturally bratty audience.

Second time in consecutive weeks we have a children's film which is about running away from home. Last week Kaccha Limboo was about an early teenager running away from home and discovering life. And this week's Satrangee Parachute is about some children running away to get parachute, which will help them fly, and in the process gets some militants caught. Sadly, like Kaccha Limboo, Satrangee Parachute too has the director confused on who he wants to cater. Both films have innocent starts, targeted at spoon feeding it target audience - kids. And then both lose their way trying to deal with complex situations.

Pappu [Siddhartha Sanghani] flees his home in Nainital with four other friends, leaving their parents angry and worried. Pappu plans to buy a parachute for one of their friends Kuhu [Rajvi Suchak], which explains why the kids decide to flee their homes. The kids face obstacles in Mumbai as they are mistaken to be accomplices of four terrorists, who have also arrived in the city with nefarious plans.
